💼✈️ Hand Luggage Tips – Avoid Those Last-Minute Airport Charges
Hand luggage rules can be confusing and costly if you get caught out at the gate. Many budget airlines (like Wizz and EasyJet) are now checking bag sizes more strictly, and if your bag doesn’t fit the sizing frame, you could face a hefty fee.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
🔹 Check each airline’s size allowance – they’re not all the same.
• British Airways: 56x45x23cm
• Ryanair (and many EU airlines): 40x30x20cm
🔹 Don’t rely on your old backpack – what once fit may no longer pass the test.
🔹 Look for “underseat cabin bags” – these are designed to meet EU standards and avoid extra charges.
👉 On my last trip, I switched to the Track Hack Underseat Cabin Bag from CabinMax. It’s durable, well-designed, and at £35 it was a real bargain. Best of all, it takes the stress out of wondering whether my bag will fit.
