📍Cooksbridge to Plumpton 🥾 via The Jolly Sportsman 🍻

We had some family friends visiting from Australia and wanted to show them what we love so much about our walks. This one was just such a beautifully perfect example of English countryside, and the pub was amazing - huge garden, great food and lovely staff.

It’s really close to a winery we’ve visited on a separate walk and while we didn’t go there this time, it would be totally doable to add it on at the end. We’ve mapped the route out to include it but if you don’t fancy it, just jump on the train home from Plumpton!

Save this one for the next time you want an easy escape to the country 🥰

Details below and the route is in our which is linked in our bio! 🔍🗺️

📏 Distance - 5km from Cooksbridge to Plumpton (then if you’re adding the winery, it’s just under 5km return from Plumpton)
⏱️ Duration - around 1.5 hours of walking from Cooksbridge to Plumpton, around another hour return if you go to Artelium
💪 Difficulty - very easy
🍻🍽️ Lunch spot - was just fabulous, and only 20 mins or so to the station once you’re done!
🥂 Optional winery - we’ve been to before and can confirm it’s fantastic! Worth it if you feel like a little jaunt after lunch
🚂 Getting there - will get you from Victoria or Clapham Junction to Cooksbridge and then back from Plumpton
🐕 Doggos - would be a great one for the doggos! A few sheep along the way though, so they’ll need to be on a lead at times :)

📍Charing Circular 🥾 via Westwell Winery 🥂

A fabulous day out to a fabulous winery! You can either do a 20 min walk there or if, like us, you want to stretch the legs a bit more before your wine tasting, you can do around 2 hours / 9kms before settling in! Either way, the countryside is gorgeous and the winery is awesome so you can’t go wrong 🥰

Details below and route is in which is linked in our bio (or message us and we can send it through)! 🔍🗺️

📏 Distance - 11km
⏱️ Duration - 2.5 hours of walking
💪 Difficulty - very easy!
🍻🍽️ Lunch spot - we spent our whole time at , doing a wine tasting and also having their delicious toasties which we’d really recommend! There was another pub along the way that looked really lovely, but it was closed so we didn’t stop in. Let us know if you do - it’s called the
🚂 Getting there - from St Pancras to Charing via Ashford. It took just over an hour and the change was super easy. Cost around £35 return :)
🐕 Doggos - a great one for the doggos, they’re welcome everywhere

We heard there’s a heatwave coming 🔥so we thought we’d share some of our favourite country pub walks with potential for a swim along the way. Some are beaches, some are rivers, some free and some you have to book / pay for in advance. All are guaranteed to cool you off and add a fun element to your walk!

All the walk routes are saved in our link in our bio - or comment / message us if you’d like any links or any more details!

Please swim safely and check the conditions before taking a dip but otherwise ENJOY!! ☀️🏊🏻‍♀️🍻🌳

We’ve spent years walking to pubs across the countryside, and along the way we’ve seen first hand that they’re so much more than places to stop for food and drink.

They’re part of communities, routines, celebrations and everyday life. And with pubs continuing to close across the UK, supporting them feels more important than ever.

That’s why we’re supporting The Telegraph’s Save Our Pubs campaign ahead of National Pub Day on Saturday 16 May.

To celebrate, you’ll be able to claim a free Telegraph Ale at participating pubs across the UK. Use the interactive pub finder at telegraph.co.uk/supportyourlocal to find your nearest participating pub and redeem your free pint!🍻

Where will you be heading on National Pub Day? We’d love to know!

Not that we need an excuse to head out for a walk, but given May is National Walking month, we’ve got even more reason to get out there!

Where are you off to this month? Next up for us is a winery we’ve been very keen to get to for a while now… 👀🥂

A little outside what we usually share (we WISH we could catch a train from London to the Dolomites!!) but there was a lot of interest in our 🇮🇹 itinerary from a Q&A recently.

So here it is! Six days in the Dolomites, four on the Alta Via 1, walking from rifugio to rifugio eating all the pasta, dumplings and strudels and drinking all the spritzes. It was honestly the trip of a lifetime.

Let us know if you need any more detail or have any questions. Route is in the link in our bio!

From countryside pub walks to Number 10! A bit surreal, but so special to celebrate all the things we love about England with some wonderful people ❤️

Thanks so much for being here and playing a huge part in us being able to do amazing things like this!
