Spain to UK – space available late August 🇪🇸🇬🇧

We’re heading down to Spain on the 18th August with a couple of removals already booked and will be around Girona and Almería from the 22nd onwards.

We’ll have space in the Luton coming back to the UK, so if anyone is moving back, has furniture or boxes to bring over, or just has a few larger items they’ve been struggling to get transported, feel free to get in touch.

We can be fairly flexible on the return journey and can collect around Almería, Murcia, Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona and surrounding areas.

Fully insured UK removals company, Luton with tail lift and everything properly blanket wrapped and secured for the journey.

As we’re already making the journey, we can work out a sensible price depending on how much space you need and where you’re based.

Booking a house move? The name on the van matters less than who actually shows up.

Here's something worth knowing before you compare quotes: a lot of "national" removal prices don't cover the actual crew moving your things. Many big firms subcontract the job out — so the person quoting you on the phone often isn't the person carrying your sofa down the stairs. Different depot, different team, every time.

A local man and van outfit works differently. You're usually talking to the person who'll be there on the day. Same face from quote to keys, no call centre, no "your slot's been moved" three days before you're due to complete. And because there's no national overhead to cover, the quote you get is usually the quote you pay — not a base rate with extras bolted on.

The trade-off people don't always think about: local knowledge. Knowing which street floods, where you can actually park a van on moving day, which block has a lift that's been broken for two years — that only comes from doing removals in the same area, week after week.

Today I went to meet someone about work and discovered something that genuinely shocked me.

I was shown an app that appears to have a team based in Pakistan monitoring UK social media platforms all day, responding to removal requests within minutes. They secure the jobs and then pass them on to drivers, despite not owning vans or carrying out the work themselves.

As someone who runs a genuine UK removals business, this is incredibly frustrating. We pay insurance, road tax, fuel, vehicle maintenance, licences, wages and UK taxes, yet we’re competing against businesses with much lower overheads whose main role is acting as middlemen.

This isn’t about where people are from—it’s about the impact this business model has on local tradespeople. When work is captured remotely before local businesses even get a chance to quote, it becomes much harder for UK-based companies to compete fairly.

I’m not against competition, and I’m not against technology. But I do believe customers deserve to know who they’re booking with, who is actually carrying out the work, and where their money is going.
