Michael Leach Design are delighted to release this fly around of the ‘Damen Hybrid 72’ explorer yacht.
MLD created a muscular and striking exterior for this bold explore yacht along with creating a harmonious general arrangement that maximises all available space whilst ensuring the yacht is as practical as possible.
The concept of a hybrid explorer yacht allowed MLD to work with Damen Yachting & Burgess to create a future proofed yacht that also offers the ultimate in flexibility, for example the electric range can be maximised by adding a custom battery container on the aft deck. Allowing the client to access ever more remote and ecologically diverse habitats without harming them in any way.
Having been involved with a number of hybrid and full electric designs MLD is well placed to be able to create yachts that push the boundaries of technology and look to the future.

Here is another render to reality of the multi award winning MY Lady S 🏆. We worked hard to get all the final exterior details incorporated into the CAD model to give a true feel for what reality would look like. We weren’t too far off in the end 😊

Throw back Thursday to the amazing SY Hemisphere, she is the largest privately owned catamaran. She took home the Showboats ‘Best Interior Design’ & ‘Best Interior Layout’ when she was launched and has been busy exploring exotic places ever since.. If you love adventurous holidays she is the yacht for you, combining a 7 Star Polynesian Beach Club style interior with all the latest diving equipment and shallow draught to get you to those hidden dive sites...

Throw back Thursday - 110m MY Anna. Creating such sculptural and organic lines was a real design & engineering challenge from start to finish but working with the talented team we managed to launch a design that defies convention. At the base of the arch on main deck there is a windowed niche to escape to with your favourite book or to simply watch the World go by from, we created these little spaces so guests can have some privacy & alone time without having to be in their cabin. 📸 credit:

Lady S wins at the 2020 World Superyacht Awards in the Displacement Motor Yacht 2,000gt - 4,999gt category.
This was an extremely competitive category and MLD couldn’t be more proud to come out on top! We had a fantastic team working on the project that enabled us to create this multi award winning beauty.. Congratulations to everyone involved in Project Strike🏆
