Every year, the Great Migration plays out across the plains of Tanzania and Kenya. Wildebeest, zebra and gazelle travel from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara in Africa's annual race for life.

It's one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth, and no documentary quite prepares you for seeing it in person.

This safari follows the course of the migration, staying in safari lodges and tented camps in Amboseli National Park and Ngorongoro Highlands. You get close to the wildlife, with unrivalled viewing, in places where the sights and sounds of the savannah are right on your doorstep.

Today I’ve been helping a multi-generational family find the perfect villa with one important requirement: within walking distance of both a town and the beach, so there’s no need to hire cars.

It sounds simple, but it can be surprisingly tricky! Many villas are beautifully located but require a car to get anywhere, while others are within walking distance of just a handful of shops and restaurants.

The good news? I’ve found some lovely options close to Puerto Pollensa, with its charming Old Town, shops, bars, restaurants and gorgeous sandy beach. 🏖️

The villa I’ve been looking at offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful setting with mountain views, stylish interiors and plenty of space and privacy for everyone to enjoy their own holiday, while still being close enough to explore on foot.

Because when you’re travelling with several generations of the family, finding somewhere that works for everyone makes all the difference.
