🐬 Some fantastic wildlife sightings over the past few days! 🐋
We’ve been lucky enough to encounter both Common Dolphins and Minke Whales out on the water! 🌊
Our Common Dolphins are wonderfully social and often travel in lively groups, riding the bow wave and putting on an incredible display of leaps and splashes. They’re highly intelligent, fast-moving and can reach speeds of around 25 mph! 🐬
We’ve also had some brilliant sightings of Minke Whales, the smallest of the baleen whales found in our waters. These sleek whales can grow to around 8–9 metres long and are often recognised by their distinctive tall, curved dorsal fin as they surface. Minke Whales are filter feeders, using baleen plates to strain small fish and plankton from the sea. 🐋
Every trip is different, and you just never know what might appear alongside the boat! 💙
