Following our post last month, we're also now looking for full-time drivers to join our team in September!

You will be driving modern, well-maintained vehicles based at our depot in Malton. As one of the last family-owned, independent coach operators in the area, you will be joining a small team with high standards and a personal touch. We offer competitive rates of pay, and flexibility to take time off in school holidays if desired. Duties include school and college contracts, local events and wedding hires, and a variety of Private Hire work.

We require drivers to:

✅ Hold a PSV Licence and Driver CPC
✅ Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
✅ Take pride in their work and driving

A polite reminder for anyone visiting our July auction viewing this week...

To help keep traffic moving and minimise congestion around our Pickering showrooms, we'd kindly ask visitors to make use of our free coach service wherever possible.

The coach runs on a circular route every 30 minutes between:

📍 Eastgate Car Park Bus Stop, Pickering
📍 Mathewsons Showrooms
📍 Thornton-le-Dale Gift Shop & Museum

🚌 Running weekdays from 9:30am until 3pm

We're incredibly grateful for the support our viewing days receive, and we'd also like to thank our neighbouring businesses for their patience during what is a very busy week for us.

Tonight, on the last day of the school year, we said farewell to 3 of the Perry’s family who have hung up their keys for the last time. Dave, Mark and Andy have been with us for a staggering 85 years between them, and are all going to be greatly missed by us all.

Dave has only been with us for a short spell (51 years to be exact!!), having started at Perry’s when he left school. A fantastic driver and mechanic, Dave has driven many Perry’s excursions over the years, along with Private hire groups, London trips and even a couple of journeys over the water to France. As a key member of the team, Dave has also served over 45 years with us in the garage, meticulously maintaining our coaches and customers’ vehicles, as well as being an incredibly talented welder and fabricator.

Mark has toured the British Isles and Europe with groups of holidaymakers, international students and study groups for the last 25 years with us. He’s also taken private groups to all corners of the UK, and has looked after his passengers with the utmost care and dedication for the last quarter of a century. He’s also been a familiar face to students in the Scarborough and coastal areas, bringing them to schools and colleges safely over the years.

Andy has been our ‘Easingwold operative’ for almost 10 years, and has safely driven school students to local schools and colleges all of this time. Whilst being a familiar face in the Easingwold area, we’ve also always loved having Andy with us at Malton when he joined us for events transport and private hires over the years.

All 3 of you will be greatly missed and we wish you all a very happy retirement. Thank you all for your years of dedication and commitment that thousands of passengers will attest to. Cheers Gents! 🍾🍾🎉🎉

We’re looking for part-time drivers to join our team from September and help carry out our local home-to school and college routes.

We have a wide range of routes across our area and you will be driving modern, well-maintained vehicles based at our depot in Malton. As one of the last family-owned, independent coach operators in the area, you will be joining a small team with high standards and a personal touch. We offer competitive rates of pay and the role is term-time only, offering plenty of time off over the year in the school holidays. The hours in between morning and afternoon duties are your own, though additional school and private hire duties may be available in the busy season if desirable.

In return, we require drivers to:

✅ Hold a PSV Licence and Driver CPC
✅ Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
✅ Take pride in their work and driving
