📣Major step forward for tens of thousands of Asda workers📣

Tens of thousands of Asda store workers are on the "cusp of justice" (GMB Union, February 2025), with the courts ruling that their roles are of equal value to the distribution centre roles they're comparing themselves to.

This news is HUGE for in store workers across the UK who are also campaigning for fairer, higher pay in comparison to their distribution centre colleagues.

We're running similar claims against major UK retailers - why not join the thousands of staff who are already fighting for fair pay? No-win, no-fee.

BREAKING NEWS: Next in-store roles deemed to be of “equal value” to warehouse roles

Earlier this week, an employment tribunal ruled that in-store roles at Next are of equal value to warehouse roles. This is a huge step forward in the fight for equal pay, and hopefully sets a precedent for other retail workers who are fighting for the same thing.

If you have worked in a Tesco, Morrisons or Boots store in the last six years on an hourly wage, you may be eligible to join an equal pay claim.

Here are some of the benefits of joining:
• You could be eligible to receive back pay for up to six years of underpaid wages. For some claimants, this could amount to thousands of pounds.
• The claim is No Win, No Fee - there are no upfront costs and if the claim is unsuccessful, there are no fees to pay.
• You could help to ensure that in-store workers are paid fairly in the future.
• You could be part of a historic movement to achieve equal pay.

Tesco boss earned 197 times more than the average Tesco worker, according to reports.

Tesco boss Ken Murphy earned a £4.4 million pay packet last year, while shoppers continue to face record rises in food prices. We don't think that's fair, do you?

In-store staff at Tesco work hard to keep our shelves stocked and our stores running smoothly. They deserve to be paid fairly for the work they do.

If you're worked for Tesco within the last 6 years, in-store and on an hourly wage, you could be eligible to claim up to 6 years worth of back-pay.

This claim is running on a no-win no-fee basis, so there are no upfront costs and if the claim loses, you don't have to pay any fees.

TESCO boss Ken Murphy took home pay of £4.44 million this year, an amount likely to cause anger amidst a cost-of-living crisis and with food inflation running at more than 15%.

"Retail staff are an important part of our communities, their role must be valued, respected and protected"

Violence and abuse towards retail staff has been "on a rising trend for years", with lots of incidents going unreported.

In store staff are a valuable asset to Tesco and we believe they should be paid fairly for their hard work. This is especially true considering the level of abuse they receive from members of the public. In-store workers deserve to feel safe at work and to be treated with respect.

In-store workers are currently paid significantly less than their distribution centre counterparts, and we believe this is unfair. While the roles are different, they require an equal level of skill and effort, and in-store workers should be recognised and paid fairly for the hard work they do.

If you work in-store for Tesco, or have done in the last six years, and you are paid hourly, you could be eligible to claim back thousands due to this pay difference.

This , join the fight for equal pay!

Here at Pay Justice, we celebrate the strides that women have taken to achieve equality in the workplace, and it inspires us to do everything we can to support the ongoing fight for equal pay.

In the past, roles that were deemed to be “women’s work” have been seen as less valuable, and therefore paid less. This still happens today, as some in-store retail staff are earning up to £3 an hour LESS than their distribution centre colleagues.

So, whether a man or a woman is doing this job, the job itself is seen as less valuable due to gender stereotypes.

We believe there’s something we can do to change that, but we need your help!

If you work in Tesco, Morrisons or Boots, you could be owed thousands due to this pay difference.
