After starting my career in 1993 as a YTS trainee travel agent for Hogg Robinson Travel, I soon got hooked! I am now very proud to be a self-employed Personal Travel Expert running my own business franchise with Travel Counsellors. With over 30 years’ experience in the travel industry, you can be assured you are in safe hands. After 6 years of running my travel business, I was delighted to achieve GOLD STATUS - an accolade held by just a small number of Travel Counsellors in recognition of their sales contribution. In addition, I have also been recognised for being in the TOP 20 WORLDWIDE within the Travel Counsellor community for scoring 100% Customer Satisfaction. I work from home, which means that unlike when you book on the internet, I am available to speak to at any time should you have any queries or problems. This means that you will have the same point of contact throughout every stage. Your booking will sit with me and I will personally take care of every detail. I will complete any advanced passenger info, online check in, print boarding passes, provide you with luggage labels and deliver any paperwork as required and you will have access to a 24 hour DUTY OFFICE to assist with any emergencies should they arrive whilst you are away. I always contact the hotels to ensure that they look after my guests on arrival and if you are celebrating a special occasion such as honeymoon or have any special requests, I will do my best to liaise with the hotel to ensure they make a note of this on your booking - subject to availability of course. Three weeks before a special birthday trip, my client was feeling anxious rather than excited.

They were booked to visit Paris, but no longer felt comfortable travelling there. They wanted to celebrate—and were worried about what changing their plans might cost.

With departure so close, cancelling or changing a holiday can involve significant charges, depending on the booking conditions. Feeling uneasy about travelling doesn’t automatically mean a booking can be refunded.

So we talked through their concerns, and I looked into what we could do.

Because of the flexibility available within their particular Travel Counsellors package, I was able to rearrange their trip to Seville. There was an additional cost, which we discussed before making the changes.

Now they have a birthday celebration they can look forward to again. 💛

This is where having someone who knows your booking and takes the time to explore your options can make such a difference.

Every booking is different, and amendments depend on the suppliers, availability and terms involved. But I’ll always take your concerns seriously and investigate what’s possible.
