This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Harry to Metroline Manchester for his work experience.

Harry is a keen young bus enthusiast who has known from an early age that he wants to become a bus driver as soon as possible. During his time with us, he spent time with each department across the business and even enjoyed an in-depth experience with our driving instructors, who took him on a tour of our Manchester depots on board one of our buses.

Harry also spent half a day at one of our bus stops handing out bottles of water to our drivers as they passed by, helping to keep them hydrated - a fantastic and thoughtful contribution.

On behalf of everyone at Metroline Manchester, we would like to thank you, Harry, for your hard work, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. We look forward to seeing you behind the wheel in a few short years!

We’re pleased to share that 100 new electric buses have been ordered for Metroline Manchester.

With these additional vehicles, it will take Metroline Manchester’s EV fleet to 274, with 59% of our entire fleet being electric.

This order is a key step toward the Bee Network’s goal of a fully electric fleet by 2030.

87% of Customers travelling with Metroline Manchester reported overall satisfaction, the highest amongst operators on the Bee Network according to the Your Bus Journey Survey from Transport Focus.

Regional CEO Patrick Sibley said: "We are proud to be the Bus Operator leading the way in Greater Manchester with 87% overall satisfaction in the latest Your Bus Journey Survey with Manchester overall seeing the biggest year-on-year increase in satisfaction under the Bee Network. We look forward to continuing to deliver an excellent service for our passengers whilst also looking at how we can further enhance customer experience and satisfaction."

Ahead of the Easter Weekend, staff from our Ashton and Wythenshawe depots collected and delivered over 500 Easter eggs and activity books for children at local schools and hospitals. Organised by staff at the depots, donations came in from the teams at our depots as well as Morrisons Dukinfield who were a great help in supporting the cause.

The gifts were distributed to Oakdale Primary School, Tameside General Hospital’s Children’s Unit, Wythenshawe Safe Spots, and the Children’s Starlight Ward at Wythenshawe Hospital. The event brought joy to many children and demonstrated an amazing effort that really made a difference. A huge thank you to all who donated!
