Hello everyone!
Just a quick and, admittedly, long overdue update on the audio situation with the camera.
As we all know, 2020 hit hard and not living local to Manchester myself, it has been incredibly hard and even illegal at times to travel to site to rectify any issues. A few connection issues were resolved remotely, but the audio disappeared and nothing I tried remotely over hours of investigation and diagnostics could resolve it.
Fortunately, I managed to get to site with the necessary equipment last week and I have found the source of the issue to be a partially torn part of the cable which has split one side of the cable. I have ordered the required items I need to repair the cable as it is not feasible to replace that whole stretch due to the location, and this should be complete in the coming weeks providing everything arrives on time.
If the repair does not rectify the issue, I will have to replace that run of cable which will require a lot more logistics but I will have it resolved as soon as I can get them arranged if this is the case.
To all subscribers I am truly sorry the audio has not worked for a number of months now. I hope you can all understand why it has taken as long as it has.
I will keep you posted on the progress.
