For the safety of everyone using Maryport Harbour, we ask all vessels to make contact before entering or departing.

📻 Call "Maryport Marina" on VHF Channel 12 to advise us of your movements. This helps us:
• Coordinate vessel traffic
• Inform you of any harbour operations or hazards
• Maintain a safe environment for all harbour users

🏢 If you're visiting, please call into the Harbour Office on arrival to register your vessel. While you're there, our team can also assist with any applicable harbour dues and answer any questions you may have.

A quick radio call and a visit to the Harbour Office go a long way in helping us keep Maryport Harbour safe, welcoming and running smoothly.

🚧 Ellenfoot Footbridge – Temporary Closure

Please be advised that the Ellenfoot Footbridge is temporarily closed today while routine cleaning and maintenance works are carried out.

For your safety, please do not attempt to access the bridge or move any barriers. An alternative route should be used until the works have been completed.

We will reopen the bridge as soon as it is safe to do so and will provide an update once the works are finished.

⚓ Thank You, HMS Raider ⚓

As HMS Raider has departed Maryport, we'd like to extend our sincere thanks to the Commanding Officer and crew for what has been a truly memorable visit.

Over the weekend, it was a privilege to welcome the ship to our harbour, host the officers and crew, and see so many people take the opportunity to step aboard during Sunday's public open day. It was fantastic to see such a positive atmosphere throughout the marina, with families, local residents, and visitors enjoying the opportunity to explore the vessel, meet the crew, and experience a Royal Navy patrol ship up close.

The event was a wonderful showcase of everything Maryport has to offer. Seeing our harbour and marina bustling with visitors, our Sea Cadets proudly supporting the event, and the community coming together to welcome HMS Raider highlighted the strong maritime heritage that continues to define our town. The enthusiasm shown throughout the weekend demonstrated just how much occasions like this mean to both residents and visitors alike.

We wish HMS Raider and her crew a safe voyage and every success for the remainder of their deployment. Fair winds and following seas—we hope to welcome you back to Maryport again in the future.

Last night, Maryport Harbour Authority was delighted to welcome the officers and crew of HMS Raider to Maryport, hosting the ship's company for dinner at The Golden Lion ahead of today's public open day.

The evening provided an excellent opportunity to extend a warm Cumbrian welcome and showcase the hospitality for which Maryport is well known. We would like to thank the management and staff at The Golden Lion for their outstanding hospitality.

Today, it's been a pleasure to see the public visiting HMS Raider at Maryport Marina. Visitors continue to arrive throughout the day to tour the vessel, meet members of the crew, and experience a Royal Navy patrol ship firsthand.

Maryport Harbour Authority extends its sincere thanks to the Commanding Officer and crew of HMS Raider for visiting our port and making today's open day possible. We are also grateful to everyone who has come along to support the event and look forward to welcoming more visitors throughout the afternoon.
