A1 Minibus & Coach Services Ltd is looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team and help maintain our diverse fleet of minibuses, buses and coaches.

This is an important, hands-on position within our established family-run transport business. We’re looking for someone dependable, thorough and able to take ownership of their work while keeping our vehicles safe, compliant and operational.

The role will include:

• Routine servicing, maintenance and safety inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and PSV testing
• Brake, suspension and drivetrain repairs
• Attending to vehicle defects and occasional breakdowns
• Completing accurate maintenance and repair documentation
• Prioritising repairs to support the operational needs of the business
• Maintaining vehicles in line with DVSA roadworthiness standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with buses, coaches, HGVs or other commercial vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• A good understanding of vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
• The ability to work independently and manage priorities
• A reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence

Relevant mechanical qualifications and a PSV or HGV driving licence would be advantageous, although we will consider applicants with strong commercial diesel-mechanic experience and transferable skills.

What we offer:

• Starting rate of £25.00 per hour
• Overtime paid at time and one-third — £33.33 per hour
• Permanent, full-time employment
• A varied role across a diverse commercial fleet
• A friendly and supportive working environment
• The opportunity to play a key role in the reliability and continued growth of our business

Not every drone shot needs to be taken from way up high. Sometimes it’s about finding just the right height — high enough to see the landscape, but low enough to appreciate the sheer scale and shape of these incredible sculptures.

As the sun disappeared behind the hills, the sky turned from gold to pink and finally deep blue… with The Kelpies catching the last of the evening light.

One of those moments where Scotland does the backdrop perfectly. 🌅

St Monans Auld Kirk, sitting right on the edge of the Firth of Forth, surrounded by centuries of history and the old kirkyard.

The present Kirk dates largely from the 14th century, although this has been a place of worship since the 1200s — and there was a shrine here even earlier.

From the air, you really get a sense of just how special its position is… stone, sea and more than 600 years of Scottish history all in one frame.
