This SUNDAY 23rd AUGUST from 9:30am - The 5th Annual Cotswold Vintage Bus Rally 🚌

🤗 EVERYONE welcome!
🌭 Special Event Menu served 9:30am until 3pm.

This is a big event run in collaboration with Troopers Lodge Motor Services - all further information can be found via the event link or the Cotswold Vintage Bus Rally page.

A note from the organisers regarding parking & payment: 🅿️

Polite Reminder.
🚍 The first park and ride is timetabled at 09.45.
🅿️Please DO NOT park at Cotswold Barn, parking on site is strictly for those with a valid Blue Badge only. General customers of Cotswold Barn should park in the park & ride car park as marked on the map, you will then receive a free return ride to Cotswold Barn café & gift shop!
➡️ Follow the signs for park and ride. It is Stow-on-the-Wold side of the CB, roughly 3/4 mile.
🥪 Cotswold Barn will be open for food and drink all day, serving a limited menu.
❌ Please do NOT bring picnics or such like on site.
🍦Ice creams are also available!
🐶 Dogs are permitted on the Buses with Driver or Conductors discretion. If the owner says no, please respect the decision. (Cotswold Barn is dog friendly too!)
🚌 Buses are running all day, these journeys are all free. If you would like to make a donation to ongoing restorations it will be most appreciated by the owners. They are all self funding and running these vehicles out of their own pocket.
🚸 Children, pets and such like must be kept under constant observation especially in the loading areas. ❗️The Buses are moving around all day.
🅿️ Parking: Please park responsibily, allow others to be able to leave but make sure you keep it tight.
💰Payment: All payments will be taken at the Cotswold Barn. Do not try to pay on the Bus as the Park and Ride is free. You can also purchase a program at the same time.

Cotswold Vintage bus rally 2026 this Sunday 23rd.

Cotswold Barn, Longborough

The first park and ride is timetabled at 09.45. Please do not park at the Cotswold Barn unless you are staff or have a valid blue badge.

Follow the signs for park and ride. It is Stow side of the CB roughly 3/4 mile.

The Cotswold Barn will be open for food and drink all day. Please do NOT bring picnics or such like on site.

Today we celebrated a 70th birthday for a lovely lady and her family. We had a 2 hour trip round the Cotswolds with a small pub stop in Eastleach.

FFN451 was enjoyed by all.

Cotswold Vintage Bus Rally 23/08/26

Our annual Vintage Bus rally is upon us once again.

This is a family fun day for everyone to enjoy. There will be Vintage Buses and Coaches offering free trips around the beautiful Cotswolds.

We will have hopefully 50 Buses and Coaches of all eras to see. Troopers Lodge Motor Services will be running 14 of theirs in service throughout the day as well as visiting vehicles.

We have a park and ride system in place, just follow the signs and await a Bus to collect you.

Today our Leyland TD5 returned to the road after 11 months of hard work.

Tatty? Absolutely

If it had a shiny coat of paint, would it look more reliable or safer?

New tyres, Brakes overhauled and rewired.

Now ready to make a few smiles 90 years on

We had a lovely couple of days in North Devon helping friends out with their Exeter Leyland Tiger. This is the sister Bus to our Leyland TD Exeter 26. Both saved by Colin Shears in the 60s.
Exeter 66 was Colins first Bus, as a younger man he worked in the taxing office for vehicles so he could keep an eye on the vehicles he wanted and later saved many Buses and Coaches. A lot still alive today.

66 was saved by him and campaigned all across England for many years, now onwed by his son Daniel (50) and eventually will belong to Colins Granddaughter.

Today it attended her Prom.

When it doesn't all go to plan the its out with its engine. Poorly VR622 has started knocking badly. A shame but this is the fortunes of running old ships.

Another engine has been sourced and being fitted.

Vr622 is now 57 years old and one of the few remaining Series 1 Vrs. To our knowledge the only Series 1 in active class 6 service still.

Today is Stow on the Wold Motor show, Troopers Lodge are one again proud to be supplying shuttles to the show in a Vintage Bus.

FFN451 will be running all day from Stow Police Station into the show ground with a small scenic tour arount the Swells.

You can catch The Number 11 Vintage Bus Service into Stow with yet another Vintage Bus then the shuttle into the show.

Once again we are proud to be supporting Stow Motor Show this Saturday. We will be running shuttles from Stow town center to the Show. Buses are running regularly, you can catch it outside the Police station.

This is a family fun day and everyone is welcome.

We will also have a Bus on display at the Show ground
