“…First, we rode up the side of Carningli common, with its majestic views of hills and sea, and then down, down, down, hair-pinning into the valley. It felt covert, almost claustrophobic, the openness of the tops swapped for tight, pressing green. It felt faintly magical too, though the Gwaun is not, Ian insisted, “some sugary, dingly dell – there’s a rawness and a realness here”…” Exploring the traditions of the Gwuan valley & Pembrokeshire.
