Be among the first to book for 2027!

We’ve just released the first wave of Train Driver Experience dates for next year — and if you know someone who would love the chance to get behind the controls of their own train, this could be a very good time to take a look.

Our Driver Experiences have become increasingly popular, with some fantastic feedback from those who’ve taken part, so we’re expecting some of the new dates to fill fairly quickly.

It’s a wonderfully different experience for a railway enthusiast and a brilliant Christmas gift idea too. No socks. No novelty mug. Just the chance to drive a train through the Cornish countryside.

You can book a specific date online, or choose a gift voucher and let them pick their experience later.

It’s been lovely to see so many of our littlest visitors enjoying Lappa Valley recently.

With the bigger children at school, these quieter autumn days are a great chance for toddlers to take things at their own pace — riding the trains, exploring the play areas, letting off steam in soft play and enjoying a proper day out together.

There’s something rather special about having that time with them while they’re still little… even if they do insist on going on the train again. And again.

PAWsome news! Chase is coming to Lappa Valley! 🐾

Calling all little PAW Patrol fans! We've got a very special visitor heading our way this October!

Chase from PAW Patrol will be joining us on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th October, making appearances at intervals throughout the day.

It's a chance for your little ones to see one of their favourite characters, alongside all the fun of a day out at Lappa Valley!

Hop aboard the train and enjoy a day packed with adventure, including our indoor soft play, outdoor play areas and plenty more!

Booking is essential! Standard admission prices apply, and Lappa Valley Members enjoy FREE admission on both days. Members must also book their places online in advance.

A sight we loved from our Grand Gala earlier this year… Zebedee and Muffin together on the Main Railway.

This weekend, you’ll have another chance to see both of these much-loved steam locomotives out at Lappa Valley for our Original Engines Weekend THIS Saturday and Sunday.

Our flagship Zebedee will be in service alongside Muffin on the Main Railway, with The Duke of Cornwall on display on the Newlyn Downs Branch Line and APT operating on the Lakeside Railway.

It’s a great weekend for railway fans, families and anyone who loves seeing our locomotives in action.

It’s been another busy day in the Benny Halt Locomotive Shed, as our railway team pulls together to get City of Derby’s overhaul over the line.

We captured these shots of Ben, Ollie, Lee and Jason hard at work — tackling the electrics, fitting new engine components and giving her a fresh coat of paint.

There’s still work to be done, but she’s really starting to come together. We’re hoping it won’t be too long before City of Derby is back out on the Main Railway, looking — and performing — better than ever!

Toddlers, trains and plenty of play.

Now the schools are back, Lappa Valley is a little slice of toddler heaven!

If the bigger children are at school, it’s the perfect chance to enjoy some special time with your littlest adventurer — with train rides, soft play, outdoor play, trampolines, adventure golf and lots of space to explore at their own pace.

No rushing. No school holiday crowds. Just plenty of time for playing, exploring and, of course, riding the trains!
