We are still open daily until the 20th of September, weather permitting.

Whilst our summer steam timetable has come to an end this does allow the diesels to take charge and pull the trains.

This week we are open 10.00 - 4.30, still only £1.50 per person.

It’s a bank holiday so that can only mean one thing. Steam trains are running today, in fact this will be our last day of our summer steam timetable.
The forecast is looking reasonable so if you’ve been meaning to ride behind a steam engine this summer holiday, get yourself to the park and tick that off your summer to do list.

We would like to congratulate Gemma and Mike who got married yesterday at Trenance Cottages. When Gemma contacted us to see if they could come for a train ride on their special day we were honoured to welcome them.
So in what we think is a first in the railways history a private train was chartered just for them, appropriately named the Wedding Belle.
We wish Gemma and Mike all the happiness in the world.
We of course had to use Ashleigh as for those of you that remember she was used to propose to now Mrs Little Western, so Ashleigh now has a proposal and a wedding to her name. Not many railway locomotives can make that claim.

Lady Luna is in service today pulling the trains.
One of the highlights along our journey is the tunnel. Some children scream with excitement whilst others call out names or TUNNEL (we always know who’s been to a railway not too far from us when we hear that). The most random thing to be heard shouted in the tunnel is, chicken nuggets.

Our class 91 doesn’t work many trains now that Lady Luna has arrived. We get asked a lot when will Swallow be running so make tracks to Trenance for some now rare traction on Little Western.

It’s a beautiful day here at the park and Lady Luna will be pulling the trains today. With just 2 Sundays left of our summer steam timetable make tracks to Trenance to enjoy a ride behind a genuine coal fired steam locomotive.
