✈️ Your August stats have landed ✈️

Looking back, dare we say we’re already missing silly season? 👀

This month, we welcomed 53,349 of you through the airport, while 2,759 air traffic movements filled the summer skies.

And it wasn’t just the airport and skies that were busy! So were our café and retail teams, with 1,293 Korevs enjoyed by our passengers, making it August’s most popular pint. To complement this, we saw 1,016 traditional Cornish pasties consumed. A pretty perfect pre-flight Cornish combination, if you ask us! 🍺

Our destination of the month is Manchester.

Whether you’re heading north from Cornwall for a city break, travelling for work, visiting friends and family or connecting onwards, it’s all made easier with Loganair flying direct to Manchester from your six times a week, all year round.

After a fantastic week hosting British Young Pilots here at , we're delighted to welcome them back through the coming months for their Sunday Clubs!

Once again, they're here to inspire the next generation of Year 6 to Year 13 aviators through engaging, classroom-based sessions, led by industry professionals to introduce the world of aviation to what could be our future pilots!

What can the young aviators expect?

👩‍✈️ Aircraft simulator sessions
🧠 Learning flying and navigation basics, from physics and meteorology to practical flying skills
🤝 Making friends and meeting like-minded individuals
🚀 Fun aviation-themed activities and lessons

*All new starters begin with the Wings syllabus, which takes one term. Students can then progress to intermediate (Modules A,B,C,D) and advanced (Modules E,F,G,H). After completion of the advanced syllabus, students will be at the standard to start working towards their pilot exmas and NPPL.*

It's National Beach Day 🏖️🌊

And even better… we get to enjoy our beautiful coast for an extra day this bank holiday weekend!

We are lucky enough to be surrounded by the many stunning beaches that make up Cornwall's coastline, with our airport located just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Watergate Bay Hotel!

We may be biased but we do think we have one of the best views to welcome you to Cornwall or as your final view of the coast as you take off!

Because we love our beaches, regularly takes part in beach cleans to help keep our coastline looking its best. We like to think of them as a rather enjoyable extension of our regular FOD (Foreign Object Debris) Plods, which are carried out routinely across the aerodrome! 👣

Your July stats are here, and what a month it was🔥

The skies were busier than ever, with 2,684 air traffic movements filling the skies seeing a huge 55% increase from June. Passenger numbers also climbed by 14%, keeping our terminal buzzing throughout the month.

The main event in the air were the iconic Spitfires and P-51 Mustang that we excitedly welcomed onto our aerodrome as we were lucky enough to host FlyaSpitfire.com for the week with Flynqy Pilot Training ✈️

It really was an incredible sight to see from every angle, especially the view from our first official viewing area giving you aviation enthusiasts the opportunity to see the iconic aircraft up close from right over the fence.
