Last week we attended the North Yorkshire Healthy Schools education event based at Harlow Carr.
We had many primary schools attend and we were able to discuss Active Travel as well as supporting staff with how they can set up a walking bus and a park and stride scheme in their school.

It is that time of year again that we are starting to work alongside our Y6 pupils across the County, supporting them and getting them to start thinking about how they will travel to Secondary School in September.
As part of our support, we can advise on public transport, school transport (and timetables), active and sustainable travel, journey planning, independent travel, transition days and above all how to stay safe when travelling possibly for the first time on their own.
Our Y6 programme began Brompton Community Primary School and we would like to say a huge thankyou to the wonderful Year 6 students who were amazing.

A HUGE thankyou to all the staff and pupils at Kirkbymoorside Community Primary School for allowing us to come in this morning and speak to the whole school about Active Travel and how to stay safe when walking, wheeling and cycling.
We thoroughly enjoyed all the wonderful interaction with the children and had some fabulous answers to our questions.
