AMBASSADORS ASSEMBLE!
Beach clean at Seaton Carew ⛱️
Always a pleasure to meet up with our good litterpicking friends and especially the Keep Britain Tidy ambassadors. Fantastic to see new ambassadors Karan & Lynne in their brand spanking new T shirts 👕
Thankyou to Billingham Tidy Up for hosting and to TCLP for the excellent post material as always 😘

✨ Huge shout out to the team of over 4️⃣0️⃣ volunteers from various litter picking groups who came together at Seaton Carew beach for this event 👏

Despite a bit of drizzle, we had a fantastic morning and in just an hour and a half, we filled a whopping 4️⃣3️⃣ bags of litter from the beach, seafront, and surrounding areas and then lots of nitrous oxide cannisters. 🚮

A special thanks to those who tried their hand at “nurdling”—yes, that’s the dedicated art of picking up those tiny plastic nurdles from the sand. Every little bit helps to keep our coastline clean! 💚

And of course, we wrapped things up with refreshments at the litter picking cafes to celebrate everyone’s hard work. Huge thanks again to all involved! 🎉

The monthly Bedale Community Litter Pick is this Sunday (6th September) so feel free to come and join. Meeting place is at the bus stop on Market Place at 10am.

BANK HOLIDAY BAGS!
From helping with a sponsored litterpick to clearing up around Coneygarth, the Wombles were busy as ever over the bank holiday weekend, accepting the ‘pick your own patch’ challenge.
Wombles involved:
Kate, Betsy, Claire, Rich, Fiona, Mel, Derrick, Nigel, Kelly, Sarah P, Rachel, Rosie, Lillian, Charles & Kim.
Areas picked: Northallerton town, B & M, Stockton, Thirsk, York, Coneygarth, Yafforth, Ashlands, Bedale.
