In January my van was written off after someone crashed into the rear of it. With COVID lockdown being a contributing factor as well as the huge increase in van prices I have yet to source a new van

For the time being I am only able to supply quotes for two men and a van jobs as I am using my colleague Hugh Dillon and his van for these requests.

The courtesy van is being collected tomorrow, I’ve got to say for a brand new van the comfort is very poor, the seats feel very cheap and nasty and you wouldn’t want to go very far in it. Ford is definitely being crossed off my list of possible replacement vans.

I’ve just received a call from the insurance company today, my van is not worth repairing and has been written off by them. It looks like I’m going to have to try and find a new van during a national lockdown, I can’t see that happening

I think Christmas was a little different for most people this year but despite various measures being in place I hope you all managed to still take some enjoyment from the festive period.

I’m back on the road from today but it isn’t in my usual van, I’ll be in a rental van after my own was shunted into from behind on the week leading up to Christmas.

Most of this week is now fully booked and I’m taking bookings for requests from 4th January onwards unless it is something small I can squeeze in between jobs. I will be closed on New Years Day but will respond to emails over the following weekend.

The government website has confirmed that house moves can still take place during lockdown. There are obvious guidelines that need to be followed.

Delivery and courier services are also permitted to continue working, if in doubt send me a request or give me a call and visit the government website for guidelines.
