iBoxit is proud to be working with Dunnella Ltd and Zoetis on a collaborative project, funded by Innovate UK, exploring our novel Zyvex technology designed to improve resource efficiency and bacterial resilience in the UK and international food and animal-health industries and supply chains. The 'AMASS' project will investigate whether Zyvex can be safely and effectively integrated into aquaculture feed systems as a preservative and antimicrobial additive, targeting contamination risks at the earliest stages of food production.
Even modest improvements in contamination control could generate substantial economic and societal benefits. Conservative estimates suggest that improved antimicrobial technologies could deliver ~£350-450M in UK economic value through a combination of reduced food recalls (~£35-80M), improved (~£100M), and reduced food waste (~£200M). Environmental benefits could include reductions of approximately 125MT CO -equivalent annually through lowering food waste.
