Why do we ask if you're in a property chain?
Some customers sound surprised when we ask whether they're buying and selling or moving between rental properties. It might seem like a personal question, but it helps us plan your move and provide an accurate quote.
If you're in a chain, your completion date usually needs to be agreed by everyone involved. You may also need to vacate your current home before the keys to your new property are released. This means we need enough vans to load everything in one go, the right number of movers to meet your deadline, and time allowed for any waiting.
When moving between rentals, you may have more flexibility with the date, especially if your tenancies overlap. If you already have both sets of keys, a local move may also allow for multiple trips.
