East Midlands Equine Horse Transport I have had an interest in horses and ponies since childhood and have worked with them most of my life.

At one point I was working for Fred, Mary and David Broom as a groom and my interest continued. I then started breaking and schooling and solving problems with other people’s horses. In 1993 I went to work for a dealer, breaking, schooling, competing etc, and in 1995 I started my company East Midlands Equine; in the first instance, initially as a horse transport company. I had seen for myself over the years how the way in which horses were loaded and transported could be improved and this is what I set out to achieve. My ethos is that the horse always comes first. 5 years later My Company expanded to include the other side of my passion – schooling, breaking – and for 26 years my company has grown from strength to strength. I have some excellent staff that understands my way of looking after and working the horse, either on livery, in for behavioural problems, breaking, schooling or competing for owners.

On Saturday we took this spicy lady from the Clifton area to Risley. She was a little difficult to load at first it after we re positioned the lorry she loaded straight away and traveled beautifully.

Our move for Saturday was this lovely big lad who decided he didn’t want to be a racehorse to his new home near Loughborough from Wellesbourne. He loaded and traveled beautifully

Today was one of those days that we just absolutely love. Over in Aberystwyth Wales picking up two colts that had only eleven days ago came off their mums.

As it was their first ever journey we gave them the whole box so they could find where was comfortable for them and they both travelled absolutely beautifully. We stopped on route serval times to offer them water and to give them a break from the road. They really weren’t bothered at all and decided to try and play with each other whilst we were stationary!

A young foals first journey is possibly the most important journey they will ever take as it sets them up for their future journeys and that’s why we love it! Knowing we’ve given them a good ride means the world to us and gives us that feel good feeling.

Part 1 Our first move for Saturday for these 2 horses from tugby Leicestershire to witham villa.
both did not want to load but as usual just gave them a few minutes and they loaded and travelled brilliantly

Our second move for Friday
Taking big Cassius back home to stretton fields livery from manor farm steane
He had a bit of vet sedation to start his journey home.
And as expected it wore off on the way back which was fine. As this was his second trip
So when he had became fully awake we gave him his haynet and I travelled close to him so I could go to him if he started being unsettled
But as you can see he was not bothered
And travelled brilliantly
Wishing Jess happy riding now he is safely back at home
