You have to love it when things just go the way they should. Cruised a whopping 1.5 miles to moor closer to Bugsbrooke. Aside from exploring another English village, we hoped to pick up our monthly prescription here.

Our cruising excitement was seeing the chap below as proud as day along the Grand Union. Does he not know he’s supposed to fly away when anyone tries to take a pic?

And, our prescriptions were ready. Love the NHS!!!!

This narrowboat life is everything Wendy and I had hoped it would be!

Weedon Bec will still be there tomorrow. Today, we’re staying dry inside Narrowboat Happy Ending!!!

First, the good news! After a VERY early start we managed to make it down the Watford Flight before they’re closed due to the water shortage. Then, we managed to be the very last boat allowed through the Buckby Flight for the day.

Even had a professional boat mover guide us through all the double locks, another narrowboat first for Wendy and I.

We’ll see just how much of the network we can cruise until the rain brings everything back to normal.

Now the bad news, between preparing for the trip and the trip itself, there is no video this week. Still, the best things are worth waiting for!!!

Finally finished with our handover and just when we thought we’d make it to Market Harborough, the realization we have to get back to Crick and queue up to get through the Watford Lock before it closes until the water shortage works itself out. 😳

At least we got to hang out at Foxton Lock! Met some incredible boaters while here!!!!

Big things happened today!!!

First, the handover for our new narrowboat is complete!

Second, our very first cruise as capital ‘C’ Continuous Cruisers saw us going through some rain. It was awesome!!!!

Very lucky to have a boatbuilder that insisted on a month handover. We learnt so much and caught some ‘new boat’ items that wouldn’t have been fun months down the road and miles away!
