From the rails to the record shelves! ✨🚂

We are absolutely thrilled to see the magic of our beloved Train of Lights shining in a very unexpected place!

A stunning painting of the Dartmouth Steam Railway Train of Lights, created by the incredibly talented Diane Griffiths Art, caught the eye of new owners of the original artwork. They were so captivated by the image that they approached Diane to ask if it could be used as the cover artwork for a brand-new album.

Fast forward to this week, and that artwork is now gracing the cover of “Psychedelic Selection” by Hawkwind, which has just been released and is already appearing on the shelves of hmv stores across the country! 🎶🌈

Congratulations to Diane on this fantastic achievement, and next time you’re browsing in keep an eye out for a familiar glow reflecting across the water! 🚂✨💿

The long-awaited day has finally arrived, the 2026 season for Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle begins today!

If you’re in and around South Devon, you may have already spotted her proudly waiting on the town pontoon, ready to welcome her first passengers of the year.

After a long and challenging winter, seeing her gleaming in the sunshine this morning is a sight to behold. Fresh paintwork, polished brass, and every detail looking immaculate, she truly is at her absolute best and ready for another unforgettable season on the water.

Sunshine is on its way back so why not make the most of the warm weekend, and visit South Devon in style by Steam Train, River Boat & Bus! ⛵🚌🚂

The Round Robin trip combines a trip on our steam railway from Paignton to Kingswear, foot passenger ferry connection from Kingswear to Dartmouth, a boat journey on the River Dart from Dartmouth to Totnes & bus journey from Totnes back to Paignton. The trip can also be done anti-clockwise. (Depending on times.)

There are wonderful views along the way too, as well as time to explore either Dartmouth, Totnes or Paignton. 🌴
