As many of you know, I am not fishing out of Milford Haven, West Wales any longer.
White Water will be based at Premier Marina - Falmouth, Cornwall as of mid-June.
UPDATE ON THE UPCOMING TUNA SEASON
Transitioning from a Welsh to English Permit.
First, the Welsh rules for this season are the same as for previous seasons. This means that all charter boats in Wales who have previously fished the fishery, can fish this year without undertaking training, based upon prior experience. However, any new skippers and vessels applying to the fishery would need to participate in training.
This year, English rules apply to White Water.
I was required to apply for an English permit so that White Water and anglers can legally target Bluefin tuna.
The English rules state...a boat and skipper cannot hold dual permits (English and Welsh) so 2026 will be the first year that I do not hold a Welsh permit.
A bitter sweet feeling for me as I have been a big driver to get the Welsh fishery over the line and have been involved from the start, however I am excited for welcoming my anglers to Falmouth this season.
News Update
I am pleased I have been given the green light with White Water and granted an English recreational angling permit this upcoming tuna season...subject to completing the mandatory tuna training.
So as you can see, my whole charter business has had a total refit, it's certainly been a busy off-season with organising the move of the boat and my customers plus finding a new long term home for White Water. This wasn't easy in itself needing a 12m berth, but I am excited to now be calling Premier Marina, Falmouth our home.
Most importantly, having the majority of my anglers with me on this new chapter of my career was crucial to me... so a big thank you to you all 🙏
I am now officially taking Tuna bookings from Falmouth for the upcoming season for the remaining dates in the diary.
