Some compensation or AT LEAST goodwill should be offered in these cases.
⭐ ROADWORKS UPDATE ⭐
We really didn’t want to have to put ANOTHER one of these posts up 😔
We know so many businesses and people around Penzance & Newlyn are struggling with the roadworks at the moment and we haven’t wanted to keep going on about it all… but we just wanted to give a little update on what’s happening outside the shop.
For the last 2 weeks there has been a barrier running outside our shop and down the rest of Albert Street due to the wrong size gulley being installed with the new pavement. Unfortunately the gulley that’s been fitted is too deep and has become a health & safety issue, with people constantly tripping and falling because of it.
Since the barriers have gone back up, passing trade has dropped massively again and, after already dealing with 7½ months of disruption before this, we’re honestly exhausted by it all now.
If anybody has any information on how long these barriers are expected to stay here for please let us know, as we can’t seem to get any answers ourselves and we really don’t want another summer affected by roadworks again 😔
