The Herd was originally founded in 1992 by Mark Taylor, Netherton Frances was purchased for his 18th birthday for 4,500 gns. In the following year another 3 Aberdeen Angus Heifers were purchased, these 4 anima

ls were the foundation females of the Moncur Herd. One heifer, Edwina 2nd of Monkwood, purchased at the Monkwood Dispersal Sale was a granddaughter of Newhouse Edwina 112th a cow from Marks Grandfather’s Herd at Newhouse of Glamis.
