Yesterday saw our first official 3 course roast dinner fully cooked on board for volunteers of Nene Valley Railway as a trial train with feedback.

It was very successful and we have learnt some new things ready for our first public roast dinner train in October.

We have used local produce with our meat coming from Chatteris Town Butchers and our potatoes coming from SRN Golding & Son Matt Golding.

Finlay says goodbye to 125 Preservation...for a little while.

Yesterday was Finlay's last working day with us as he is moving down south to start his working life on the railways.

Finlay has grown in confidence and matured over the time he has been working with us and we are really going to miss him and his electrical knowledge.

However, he will be back to help us out when he's available so he's not completely gone!

We all wish Finlay the best for his future and hope it involves many more trains!
