Just to clarify the OTHER side of the story of Tribs Transport LTD - let’s put it this way, in over 8 years of running we have not dealt with any cowboy company quite like this before!

Let’s start at the beginning.. the load got posted yesterday with all the relevant details and showing the TIME RESTRICTION/SLOT (7am this morning). Haulier decided to do the two delivery’s the wrong way around so missed the delivery slot and was going to arrive at site at 8.30 - which of course due to restrictions was not acceptable.

After going back and forth for a while as a gesture of goodwill we offered to pay them £500 to sit there for the day and to unload tomorrow morning at 7am. This was not good enough for them they said they will have to take the load back to where they collected it from. We agree that was ok.

Lo and behold on their ‘way back’ they demanded we pay them double or they are holding the goods ransom!

This obviously didn’t sit well with us, we contacted our platform and sent them all the evidence to which they agreed was very unprofessional and blocked them from using the platform until the goods were delivered back to the depo.

After a ‘vehicle breakdown’ the goods were finally delivered back to where they should have been 🥳

We did email him 3 hours ago and ask for the post to be taken down as it is slander and absolutely not true but as this hasn’t been the case we feel we have the right to post our side of the story 😄

Due to expansion, we are looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver – 4 On, 4 Off
Location: Lidl Distribution Centre
Shift Pattern: 4 On, 4 Off Day driver
Licence Required: HGV Class 1 (C+E)
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver, reliable, customer focused and somebody that is looking for a great work-life balance and the opportunity to become a familiar face on your daily route?
This role will be delivering to Lidl stores on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
The Role
As one of our drivers, you'll be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to Lidl stores. This is a hands-on role, as you'll be loading and unloading your vehicle using store equipment, but you'll also enjoy building strong relationships with store colleagues. Since you'll typically cover the same route, you'll become a trusted and familiar member of the team at each store you visit.
What You'll Be Doing
• Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle.
• Deliver stock to Lidl stores on a dedicated route.
• Load and unload cages and pallets as required.
• Complete all deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with transport legislation.
• Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with store teams.
What We're Looking For
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• A professional attitude with a strong focus on safety.
• Good communication skills and a positive, can-do approach.
• Comfortable with the physical nature of loading and unloading deliveries.
