The Society is proud to promote our memberβs flocks from across the UK on our social media platforms, as part of this year's Breeder Advertisement Package. This week we heading to Scotland and are showcasing the Laga flock located in Evie, Orkney.
The Cursiter family established their flock of Lleyn sheep on the Isle of Orkney in 1997 wanting a ewe who would be able to look after herself without much intervention at lambing time and to be able to breed their own replacment females on the Island. Michael and his family gained wider public recognition through their appearances on the BBC television series This Farming Life showcasing the Lleyn breed and it's performance to farming communities across the UK. The family and flock actively support many of the Society autumn sales with MV Accredited males and females and have their own on-line sale taking place in September, and also play a vital role in promoting the breed across the Scottish region.
If you are a member and interested in showcasing your flock on our social media pages in the future, more information will be circulated later in the year with how you can get involved!
