We deliver on our own vehicles to France, Spain, Portugal and other parts of Europe and can offer competitive return load rates back from the continent

We can provide you with all the packing materials required for your move. We supply specially produced wardrobe cartons to hang your clothes in during transit as well as linen cartons and other job-specific packaging. Our vehicles also carry custom made thick wool blankets that are used to protect furniture during transit.

52 years today since Paul began his journey with The Shires Removal group. The company is still going strong.
The preparation began this morning when I went shopping for a few bits n bobs. It was never going to be ‘normal’ cake. Flapjack was the order of the day, as this is one of Paul’s favourites! The main course was homemade (by Paul) mushroom soup…. Finished off with strawberries and ice cream… oh and a can of Guinness. We know how to celebrate… 🥳 🥳

I don’t normally do this, (esp a photo as well) but it’s my birthday today and yes I will be having jelly and ice cream! 🍦 But more to the point on Monday the 1st June The Shires Removal Group will be celebrating 52 years of business. I mean that deserves not just jelly and ice cream but a trifle as well.
So I’ve had an idea!!! 💡 dangerous I know. 🤦🏼‍♀️ how about a prize draw to celebrate their huge achievement. Lifting the engines from the two locos, ready for moving so the ground work for the warehouse can continue. Next phase is moving the locos. Dean assured me he was working hard communicating with Mark the crane operator giving directions for a safe lift. Mmm… not sure to be honest, there was too much chatting and laughing if you ask me….
No catastrophes so they definitely did a great job. Well done guys.

Happy weekend to you all. I would like to thank everyone for reading our posts and sharing them. It is much appreciated, Being a family business it is important to us. Plus I would like to welcome all our new followers. I was just thinking (which can be dangerous)! It would be interesting to know how you originally found out about us and where you are from….
