Our import team recently coordinated a full container shipment from Japan to the UK, managing the movement on an EXW basis from the supplier’s premises in Nagoya through to final delivery in the UK.

Working closely with our trusted partner in Osaka, we arranged collection, export formalities, ocean freight and UK customs clearance, providing a fully managed service throughout. The container travelled from Osaka to Southampton with a transit time of 45 days port-to-port.

Our export team has recently completed a sea freight shipment from the UK to the USA, moving a 40’ high cube container on a CFR (cost and freight) incoterm from a customer’s premises in the UK through London Gateway port and on to Charleston port, USA.

Mercator managed the full UK-side operation, including container positioning, export customs clearance, VGM declaration and ocean freight, ensuring everything was in place for a smooth departure. The container reached Charleston in just 10 days port-to-port.
