Our Commercial Director, Kieran, begins his Wimbledon journey today as he competes in the Play Your Way to Wimbledon amateur tennis finals.

After earning their place through local qualifying events, Kieran and his doubles partner, John, will be taking on some of the country's best amateur players over the coming days.

Everyone at Bowker is wishing Kieran and John the very best of luck as they bid to lift the Men's Doubles title.

Well done to the Bowker team who completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday ⛰️

Covering 24 miles and summiting Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 10 hours, the team showed fantastic determination and teamwork throughout the day.

With much better weather than our last company attempt in 2019, the group was rewarded with incredible views across the Yorkshire Dales.

A fantastic achievement by everyone involved. Although there are definitely a few tired bodies around the office today👏

Ey Up - our final stop is Selby!

With Yorkshire Day Tomorrow, we have arrived at our final Yorkshire DC, Selby.

The site has been in Bowker news over the last couple of years, through their award winning service and the dedication of the whole team.

Key highlights include:

✅ Liam McDonough being promoted to General Manager & winning Warehouse Manager of the Year at the 2025 UKWA awards.
✅ Multiple successful AA BRCGS audits.
✅ Winning the Co-Packing & Fulfilment award at this years UKWA awards.
✅ Taking on extra buildings on site to help with our continued growth.

Next up in our countdown to Yorkshire Day is our Thorne Distribution Centre.

Opened in 2023, Thorne is managed by Joe Caunce, who took the reins after several successful years leading our Selby site.

The site boasts capacity for 30,000 pallets and proudly holds the prestigious AA BRCGS accreditation, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of quality and food safety.

Behind the operation is a fantastic team whose hard work, commitment and Yorkshire grit keep the site running smoothly day in, day out.

Yorkshire Day is just around the corner on 1st August 2026, so we're shining a spotlight on our distribution centres across God's Own County.

First up is Hull, home to our international team & fleet. Opened in 1973 following rapid growth in Bowker's international operations, the site is strategically located on Littlefair Road for its close proximity to Hull Docks.

The site also boasts a warehouse operation with over 10,000 pallet spaces, specialising in food-grade and pharmaceutical storage solutions.

With decades of experience and expertise, the team works tirelessly to keep freight moving across Europe and beyond.
