We've been playing workshop Tetris since Silver Ghost left us for their new adventures 🤗🌏

The good news is that the empty spaces don't stay empty for long at Ovation Boats!

Here's Darren cracking on with Russell, adding an extra layer of Thinsulate over the spray foam insulation, while also getting the wiring and pipework sorted.
It's all part of the process — one boat leaves, another starts taking shape. The workshop never stays quiet for long! 🚤

✨ A real glass act! ✨

While building the narrowboat Silver Ghost for our customers, they commissioned a beautiful stained glass piece from ‘My Floating Pod’ to be incorporated into the boat.

Created aboard The Pod—a purpose-built floating glass studio moored on the Chesterfield Canal—the artwork draws inspiration from the ever-changing colours, reflections and wildlife of the waterways.
The finished piece was made even more personal, featuring the owners’ treasured Weimaraner dogs, creating a unique artwork.

It was a pleasure to work together to create something truly special and to fit the finished piece into Silver Ghost as part of her build 🌟

Here's Silver Ghost, the latest boat to leave the Ovation Boats workshop — and the boat that was voted Second Favourite in Show at this year’s Crick Boat Show 🫶🙌

Awards are wonderful, but what makes Silver Ghost truly special is the story behind her. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen by owners Tony and Fay, creating a boat filled with personal touches and heartfelt decisions, that have transformed a beautifully crafted boat into a unique home.

It was a pleasure meeting the new owners of Moonwater at Foxton Locks today.

As one of the earlier Ovation Boats builds, Moonwater looked absolutely immaculate as she cruised past Bridge 61 on her way to Market Harborough.

There’s nothing quite like seeing our boats out on the waterways, creating new memories and continuing their journeys. Safe travels, Moonwater.

We’re delighted to share that our beautiful Silver Ghost achieved 2nd place in Crick Boat Show’s ‘Favourite in Show’ competition 🙌

A huge thank you to the owners, Tony and Fay, for allowing us to exhibit their stunning new floating home, and thank you to everyone who came to see us and cast their votes.

Our team has worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to bring Tony and Fay’s vision and designs to life, so this recognition means a great deal to us.
