🥾 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗜𝗧! 𝟮𝟱𝗞𝗠 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗗! 🎉

On Saturday, Amy, Ellie, Lindsay and Natalie took on the Kent Downs Ultra Challenge, completing the 25km walk in an amazing 5 hours and 2 minutes! 💪👏

We’re proud to have taken on this challenge to raise money for Heart of Kent Hospice, a charity that means a great deal to us. ❤️

Monday Myth Buster

❌ 𝗠𝗬𝗧𝗛 : “It’s only a bit of rain — I don’t need to change anything.”

✅ 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: Even relatively light rain can change driving conditions.

Wet roads can affect stopping distances, visibility and grip, while spray from other vehicles can make it harder to see what's ahead.

For commercial vehicle drivers, 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲.

The mornings are getting cooler, and as the temperature drops, 𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝗼. 🌡️

So, as we head into the colder months, it’s a good time to check your tyres and make sure they’re roadworthy.

🛞 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 and make sure they’re set to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.

Incorrect tyre pressures and damaged or worn tyres can affect 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — and potentially compromise road safety.

On 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, we’ll be taking on a 𝟮𝟱𝗸𝗺 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 to raise money for Heart of Kent Hospice. 🥾

The team got together at the weekend for a training walk to get those legs ready for the big day. There may have been plenty of chatting, a few laughs, and possibly a little questioning of our life choices along the way… but we’re all in it together! 👣

We’re taking on the challenge to raise money for a charity that means a great deal to us, and we’d love your support. ❤️

It was great to meet our neighbours on the other side of the fence! 😀👋

A big thank you to Sarah Webb and Medway City Estate Connections for putting on such a great event.

As we overlook The Meliora Group, I’ll admit I mainly went along because I was being nosy! 😂 But what started as a little look around turned into a great opportunity to meet some new people.

On the walk round, I was very happily ‘picked up’ by a lost Lyndsey Moore, and then had the pleasure of Michelle Dowsett as company for the walk back — so I definitely didn’t get lost! 😉

It was also great to see Samantha Fairchild while we were there, always lovely to catch up!

Many thanks to Ian and the team for taking the time to show us around and for giving us a look at their very slick operation.

It’s always great to see what’s going on right on our doorstep and make connections with the businesses around us. 🤝
