🚛 Meet the People Behind the Journey – Stevie Cairnie, Manfreight Transport
At PTI Express, we’re lucky to work with some great characters across our network — and Stevie Cairnie of Manfreight Transport is definitely one of them.
Stevie keeps our trailers moving between Rugby and Northern Ireland like clockwork, but there’s more to him than just getting the job done…
Originally destined for a life in farming, Stevie swapped fields for freight at 21 and hasn’t looked back since. These days, he’s an early riser who likes to “get up and get on with it” (with a strong coffee in hand, of course).
When he’s not behind the wheel, Stevie’s a man of many talents — from DJ’ing to surviving a tuna fishing trip 20 miles out into the Caribbean.
If you ever need cheering up, he reckons Bob Mortimer would be his ideal desert island companion — which tells you a lot about his sense of humour. That said, he also admits his personal warning label would read: “Toxic Gas…!” (we’ll let his wife confirm that one… 😄).
Simple tastes, strong work ethic, and always reliable — whether it’s mince and tatties or making sure trailers are exactly where they need to be.
