At the Oddfellows, you're never too far from a friendly face, but we know that many people throughout the UK do experience loneliness. That's why the Marmalade Trust's annual campaign is so important.

If you fancy some company, you can find online and in-person events at www.oddfellows.co.uk/events. You'll be made very welcome. 😃

Head to www.lonelinessawarenessweek.org for lots of brilliant advice.

Still life pencil watercolour art was the skill at our Art in The Park session yesterday at the Visitor Centre at Friends of Taylor Park St Helens

Sylvia our resident artist guided us through the steps to create our own masterpieces noting the use of triangles to create depth and explaining the theory about drawing with the pencil dry and then applying water to the pigment placement made on the paper... plus how to remove mistakes (my favourite tip!) We are mostly absolute beginners and just give it a go, each time it is something new to try.

If you feel like giving it a go too, you're welcome to join us! For more details on our art sessions or on any of our meet ups in St Helens or Warrington, contact Nicola our local social organiser for more info 07456 915655 [email protected] St Helens & Warrington Oddfellows you'll be made to feel very welcome 🥰

Before joining the Oddfellows Carol said she wouldnt have had the courage to cross the Atlantic on her own and now she has just returned from the tip of a lifetime to visit her son in America joining him on a road trip!

Friendship supports in many ways and can help long term health, happiness and personal growth and we are so proud of what Carol has achieved 😍

Carol has been a member for 10 years and volunteers in our local branch to support with care and welfare, she also offers her warm welcoming smile, vibrant chat and energetic enthusiasm to newcomers and members alike. A chat with Carol is filled with warmth and fun 🥰

Pics attached of her journey accompanied with her own words. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us Carol it looks a fabulous trip that has created special memories for both you and your son ❤️ St Helens & Warrington Oddfellows ❤️

For car parking we would suggest using North John Street pay and display car park next door to the cafe, current charges start from £1.10 for up to an hour. It is quieter than our regular Tuesday Drop In and is an ideal opportunity to meet some new friendly faces.

Don't forget we now offer a choice of venue for our monthly Thursday meet up: 9.30am breakfast at Fuel and 11am coffee morning at World of Glass, you are welcome to come to one or come along to both 😁☕️ ☕️😁

A moment of nostalgia this morning at our Barley Mow Warrington meet up when one of our members brought in their collction of pre-decimalisation coins and notes and challenged some old fashioned arithmetic. Conclusion most brains remain sharp... as for me Im glad I wasn't around dealing with it! 🪙💵
