Summer Season Loan Signing

Fresh in on loan for the summer season, Jan has settled in quicker than most of us can find the handbrake.

He’s like old rope – dependable, reliable, and seemingly impossible to wear out. If there’s a job to do, Jan will quietly get on with it without any fuss… although he might correct your grammar while he’s at it.

Jan has an unhealthy relationship with his thesaurus. Why use “good” when you can say “exceptional”, “superlative”, or “pre-eminent”? Having a conversation with him is like accidentally opening the dictionary to a random page.

Need a synonym? Ask Jan.
Need an antonym? Ask Jan.
Need someone to explain what “sesquipedalian” means? Definitely ask Jan.

Despite all that, he’s one of the nicest blokes you’ll meet. Always smiling, always positive, and always turns up with a brilliant attitude to the job. A proper team player who’s been a pleasure to have with us this summer.

We’re just hoping he doesn’t look up the definition of “permanent transfer” before the season ends…

Another lovely day out with us. Stopped by Morvah Pasty Day for an hour on the way which was way better than we thought it'd be. We will definitely be going there again next year. Had a little stop in St Just and now got two hours at Land's End Landmark

On the way back we'll be visiting St Buryan, Merry Maidens Stone Circle and Marazion for St. Michael's Mount

If there’s a bus within a 50-mile radius, George already knows its fleet number, registration, and probably what it had for breakfast.

When he’s not giving up his time because he genuinely loves buses, you’ll find him planning his next trip to Lanzarote… purely for the sunshine, of course. Any rumours about multiple women over there remain strictly unconfirmed… although George certainly doesn’t deny them. 👀
