We’re incredibly proud to share that we have recently donated £500 to the The Little Foot Trust, a truly inspiring local charity making a life-changing difference to children in and around Scarborough.

Each February half term, The Little Foot Trust takes a group of children aged 10–11 from deprived areas across the Scarborough community, on a memorable trip to London. Every child is carefully selected for a variety of reasons, whether due to challenging living circumstances, traumatic life experiences, or to provide respite for an ill parent or carer.

For many of these children, through no fault of their own, this would be their first and only opportunity to experience a holiday like this.

The Trust relies entirely on charitable donations to make the trip possible. Funding helps provide each child with a warm coat, hat and backpack, as well as unforgettable experiences such as visits to the Houses of Parliament, 10 Downing Street, a West End show, the The O2 Arena roof walk, and Wembley Stadium. They also explore London’s parks and museums, broadening horizons and building lasting memories.

We’re delighted that our contribution has helped fund the children’s evening meals and packed lunches during their stay, ensuring they are well cared for while they focus on enjoying this incredible opportunity.

At our core, we believe in supporting initiatives that create meaningful, long-term impact within our community. The Little Foot Trust is a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together to give young people opportunities they may otherwise never have.

We are looking for a MARINE SUPERINTENDENT (TECHNICAL) - full time permanent

Overview

The Marine Superintendent will provide multi-disciplined support across Mainprize Offshore’s fleet of Class-approved Crew Transfer Vessels operating in the UK, Western Europe, and the Baltic region. There may also be some time spent on new build projects.

The role requires a shore-based technical person with proven ability and experience of working on diesel propulsion units and hydraulic systems, electrical and electronics knowledge would also be advantageous but not a necessity

The Marine Superintendent would be required to have a marine operational background that will enable them to get a fleet oversight, ensuring vessels are maintained and operated in accordance with Class, Flag, ISM Code, and other statutory requirements.

The position is predominantly hands-on and site-focused, you will be working with other members of the technical and operational teams with regular vessel, port, and shipyard attendance, supporting maintenance, dockings, inspection and some crew evaluations, Any new build supervision experience at either progress monitoring or delivery level will also be advantageous.etc.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

3 – 4 years’ experience as a certified Officer of the Watch (OOW) or operational experience in OS-HSC CTV/craft vessels.
STCW qualification 11/1 OOW
Understanding and knowledge of the ISM and OS-HSC codes and compliance.
Experience of dealing with Flag administrations and RO’s.
Auditing skills and experience desirable.
Willingness and desire to travel sometimes internationally for vessel visits, inspections, port calls, docking, maintenance assistance, etc.
Flexibility to be available in case of emergencies.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience liaising between different stakeholders.
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office, PMS and other computer systems.
Willingness and desire to learn.

Working Location – Head Office (Scarborough, UK). Preference given to candidates with an ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate before start date. Travel as required by the business to vessel visits across UK and Europe.
Monday – Thursday 0830 – 1700, Friday 0830 – 1430 when office based

Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in their role, which includes: the managing the daily, weekly, monthly operations of all Mainprize Offshore Ltd owned, managed, chartered and sub-chartered vessels. This role requires swift and clear communication between all stakeholders including but not limited to; vessel owners, office and marine staff, clients, engineers, etc.

We’re Hiring: Accounts Payable Assistant
📍Scarborough, North Yorkshire
20-25 hours per week + benefits
What you’ll do:
✅ Processing, checking and inputting purchase invoices onto Sage
✅Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
✅Scheduling, preparing and highlighting invoices for payment in line with agreed terms
✅Ensuring accurate VAT treatment and recovery on supplier invoices
✅Chasing suppliers and internal teams for missing or duplicate invoices.
✅Processing contractor invoices at the beginning of each month
✅Supporting with the posting of expense receipts and reconciliation of company credit cards statements.
✅Liaising with department heads to obtain accurate and complete financial documentation
✅Responding to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
✅Providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required

What we’re looking for:
🔹 Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounts payable, finance or finance related administrative role

✨ End of Year Update – A Truly Inspiring 2025 at Mainprize Offshore ✨

As we come to the end of 2025, we're looking back with pride at a year filled with teamwork, generosity and community spirit. Our Mainprize Offshore team has supported a range of incredible charities and community initiatives, making a meaningful difference across the region.

🎩 June – Sponsoring the Rainbow Centre Summer Ball
We were delighted to sponsor the Rainbow Centre Summer Ball at Scarborough Spa. The team dressed to impress for a fantastic black-tie night filled with great food, entertainment, auction bidding, singing and dancing. The event raised over £10,000, thanks in part to our sponsorship and the generosity of everyone who attended — a huge success for a wonderful local charity.

💛 July – Bring a Pound to Work Day
In July, our team proudly supported Yorkshire Coast Radio’s Bring a Pound to Work Day, raising £278.80 for St Catherine’s Hospice, Scarborough. These vital funds help provide specialist palliative care, bereavement support, counselling and physiotherapy for local people.

🏫 July – Opening of the Mainprize Offshore Suite at Scarborough UTC
Also in July, we were honoured to attend Scarborough UTC for the official opening of the Mainprize Offshore Suite. We were delighted to join other local employer partners in supporting and investing in young people’s education, offering students valuable real-world knowledge and industry insight. The event was attended by Jürgen Maier, CEO of GB Energy, who led an inspiring discussion on the potential for Scarborough and the wider region to play a key role in offshore renewables.

🏔️ August – 3 Peaks in 3 Days Challenge
In August, six members of the Mainprize Offshore team took on the epic 3 Peaks in 3 Days Challenge in aid of the Thalia Beau Foundation. Their incredible efforts raised £9,460, helping to support families of sick children, bereaved families, and children’s wards including Great Ormond Street and the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. A phenomenal achievement by all involved!

🛒 October – Dry Food Donations for the Rainbow Centre
In October, our team collected dry food essentials to help families experiencing food crisis. Our office tables were overflowing with donations — a truly heartwarming effort that provided vital support to many local households.

🌟 In total, the team have raised and contributed over £15,000 for local charities and community initiatives this year — a milestone we can all be incredibly proud of.

Experience in purchasing administration or strong administration experience

Willingness and ability to learn quickly

Organised and detail-oriented

Confident in following up with suppliers
