Fun Fact - you could fit over 15 million real oranges inside this giant special shape! Owned by MJ Ballooning of Bristol, the Orange is one of 15 special shapes the team have. Piloted by Alex Harvey this year who has flown commercial passenger balloons all over the world including the UK, India, Nepal and Canada, all all before his 30th birthday!

Tickets are now selling very fast now as we reach the culmination of our announcements next week! If you want to join us on Saturday, now is the time to book those tickets! Beautiful New Balloon for our friends at Sky High Ballooning

🎉 We have a winner! 🎉

Congratulations to Lucy Hamilton - the talented designer behind our brand-new hot air balloon! 🌈

Their stunning design captured our hearts with its colour and creativity, and it will soon be brought to life by Cameron Balloons in Bristol!

Due to its old school type design (it reminds us of the old Viva type balloon styles that used to be around in the 90’s), we’ve decided to give this balloon the name of Retro and it will be given the unique aircraft registration of G-RTRO.

Lucy has won a VIP balloon flight for two, a factory tour, and the chance to see their very own design being inflated for the first time, plus some goodies from our good friends at Cameron Balloons as well.

Thank you to everyone who entered — your imagination has truly filled our skies. We will share some of the wonderful designs that we received over the coming weeks 💛

🎈 Today marks 242 years since the first manned balloon flight! 🎈
On November 21, 1783, the Montgolfier brothers launched history’s first crewed hot-air balloon in Paris, carrying Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François d’Arlandes into the sky.

From that moment, humans truly took flight for the first time.
Amazing to think how far aviation and balloons have come in just a couple centuries!

Happy 242 years to human flight! 🎉
