LONG TERM FUTURE FOR 76084 SECURED

We are delighted to announce that agreement has been reached for locomotive 76084 to be overhauled at our Weybourne Works and to run on the line for ten years following the completion of that work.

We are often asked on various pages relating to the NNR what locos will be running and when. Going forwards, this page will be the place to find such updates, and once we get into the swing of things, we hope to be posting regular loco rostering updates.

So without further ado, our planned locos for this week will be 80080 and a two car first generation DMU, with D6732 joining the roster for the weekend.

The N2 has entered Carriage & Wagon for final painting, lining and assembly following successful initial running in. The loco will emerge in due course (dates to be announced!) for its long awaited summer launch!

The one you've all been waiting for!

We're delighted to announce "Loco A" on the timetable will be 37175 courtesy of Colas Rail. A big thankyou to Colas for supporting our gala weekend and 37175 should arrive with us Thursday afternoon, departing Sunday evening.

Colas are sending the engine subject to their mainline traffic requirements, but all being well 37175 is our expected loco. 📷 T Loader

Wissington has gone on a little holiday! Fancying a city break, our diminitutive star has gone to experience the bright lights of Norwich for the weekend, at the Crown Point Open Day. Perhaps you will see her tomorrow?

Our thanks to friends at RSS for their professionalism in her transfer (with two forms of transport!), Greater Anglia, and Network Rail for allowing the move to happen, and for these photographs to be taken.

N2 1744 being readied for running in next week. 3-6-2026. The loco has been on the weigh gear this week so the springs could be adjusted to set the correct weight on each wheel.

M7 30053 starts its journey back to Swanage. It was being shunted this afternoon, 3-6-2026, ready to be moved to Sheringham later for road pick up early next week.
