Boilershop update - the B12’s new front fl**ge ring has been tacked to the new barrel ring ready for drilling of rivet holes. The front tubeplate is ready for attaching. Ring Haw’s front tubeplate as been first fixed ready for riveting. On Ring Haw’s firebox new copper stays are being fitted. 2-9-2026

Progress on Thompson BG E70621E - this week ‘The Fridge’ has started to transform again. Yesterday the seaward side was primed with special paint to ensure subsequent coats adhere to the Dibond panels, and today the first coat of crimson undercoat was being applied.

The cleaning and painting of the underframe of BFO 14021 is progressing well with about 75% now complete. The repaint of TSO 3868 is now ready for the mid body lining.. internally the restoration of the interior is nearing completion.
