✈️ What happens when your travel plans suddenly go wrong?

You’re away on business or enjoying a family holiday when your phone pings…

“Your flight has changed.”

Not just the time — the airport has changed too! 😩

You were due to land at Birmingham, your car is parked there, and suddenly your flight has been diverted to Stansted.

Now the panic sets in…

🚗 How do I get home?
🅿️ How do I get back to my car?
⏰ What if the new airport means an extra 2 hours of travelling?
😴 And after a long flight, who wants to deal with all that?

Well, this recently happened to one of our regular business travellers.

They normally use Star Cars for their longer journeys to Heathrow, so when their flight was changed from Birmingham to Stansted, they sent us a WhatsApp message:

“Can you collect us?”

Of course we could. ❤️

We rearranged the diary, made sure all our other bookings were covered, tracked the flight and sent a driver down to Stansted the night before, staying locally in a B&B so they could be well rested and ready for the journey home.

The flight was originally due to land at around 2am.

It eventually landed at nearly 5am! 😴✈️

But that wasn’t a problem. We were there waiting.

And because we believe it’s the little things that make a big difference, we even remembered their favourite drink for the journey home. ☕️

That’s the difference with Star Cars.

We don’t just take you from A to B.

We keep an eye on your journey, adapt when plans change and make sure you have someone you can rely on when things don’t go to plan.

Your journey might change. Our commitment doesn’t.

🏥 More Than Just an A-to-B Service

Today, our team is providing a wait & return service to New Cross Hospital, with additional special assistance for our passengers.

Rather than simply dropping them at the hospital, our driver has parked, accompanied them into their appointment and assisted with their wheelchair, making the whole journey as easy and stress-free as possible. ❤️

We understand that getting to a medical appointment isn’t always as simple as getting from A to B. Sometimes you or a loved one needs a little extra help — and that’s where we can make a difference.

🚕 At Star Cars, we’re more than just a taxi service.

Whether you need:
• Hospital & medical appointments
• Wheelchair assistance
• Wait & return journeys
• Additional assistance getting to your appointment
• Transport for elderly or less mobile passengers

We’ll always do our best to provide a service tailored to your needs.

🌅 Early Morning Heathrow Collection 🚖

This morning we are collecting a customer from Heathrow Airport after their flight lands at 6:40am, bringing them safely back home to Shrewsbury.

At Star Cars, we do things differently when it comes to long-distance airport transfers. Rather than having a driver work through the night or wake up at an unreasonable hour before a long journey, our driver travelled down to Heathrow yesterday evening and stayed in a local hotel.

By arriving the night before, our driver is fully rested, refreshed, and ready for the 3-hour journey back to Shrewsbury, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for our customer.

Meanwhile, other members of the Star Cars team have already completed overnight airport transfers to and from Birmingham Airport and are now ready to begin this morning’s school runs and local journeys.

Whether you’re travelling for business, heading off on holiday, or need a reliable local taxi service, Star Cars is here to help 24 hours a day.
