โœ…SLEAFORD CROSSING UPDATE โ€“ NORMAL ROUTES RESUMING โœ…

Weโ€™re pleased to confirm that the main railway crossing in Sleaford has now reopened.

As a result, our Sleaford IT & school services which have been amended recently will now return to normal routes from tomorrow, Friday 4th September, with all usual stops being served.

Weโ€™d like to thank all of our passengers, parents and carers for their patience, understanding and cooperation while the closure has been in place. We appreciate that the diversions and temporary stop changes have caused some inconvenience, and weโ€™re grateful for everyone working with us while we kept the services moving.

Thank you also to our driving and operations teams for adapting quickly to the changes over the last few months.

REMINDER

โš ๏ธ SERVICE UPDATE โ€“ THURSDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER:

At 4pm yesterday, we received a further update from Lincolnshire County Council regarding the main railway crossing in Sleaford, which had originally been expected to reopen early yesterday morning.

Unfortunately, the closure has now been extended until at least this morning.

To give our passengers certainty and avoid any very last-minute disruption, we have made the decision to amend the following routes for both the morning and afternoon journeys today, in case the crossing remains closed into the afternoon school run.

This means the below routes will be able to operate to a planned diversion rather than us having to make changes at short notice.

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s patience while these works continue and will keep you updated with any further information we receive from LCC.

โš ๏ธ SLE8 SERVICE UPDATE โ€“ WEDNESDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER โš ๏ธ

Unfortunately, the main level crossing in Sleaford remains closed this morning, meaning our SLE8 service will need to operate on a diversion.

As a result, we are unable to serve the following stops this morning:

๐ŸšŒ Yorkshire Trading โ€“ Sleaford
๐ŸšŒ Spar โ€“ Sleaford

All other stops remain unaffected.

Children are welcome to board at Tesco - Sleaford instead or any other stops. Timetable here

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. This is totally out of our control.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide a further update this afternoon.

๐ŸŽ’๐ŸšŒ BACK TO SCHOOL! ๐ŸšŒ๐ŸŽ’

And just like thatโ€ฆ the summer holidays are over and a brand-new school year begins!

This morning, we are back doing what weโ€™ve proudly done for generations - being part of the school day for pupils and families across our local communities ๐ŸšŒ

For some, today means returning to familiar classrooms and catching up with friends. For others, itโ€™s a very first day, a new school, a new year group or the beginning of a completely new chapter๐ŸŒŸ

We know thereโ€™ll be plenty of excitement this morningโ€ฆ and probably a few nerves too! So from all of us at Sleafordian Coaches, weโ€™d like to wish every pupil, parent, teacher and member of school staff across our local communities a fantastic start to the new academic yearโค๏ธ

And a special mention to our brilliant drivers and team behind the scenes, with the early alarms set once again and another busy school year ahead! ๐ŸšŒ

Hereโ€™s to new friendships, new adventures, plenty of learning and lots of memories along the way.

New school year. New journeys. ๐ŸšŒ

Have a brilliant first day, everyone! ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ“š

๐ŸšŒ SLE8 SERVICE UPDATE ๐ŸšŒ

With Sir William Robertson Academy term starting tomorrow, we can confirm that our SLE8 service will be operating from tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd September.

Weโ€™ve had a few customers asking whether the service will still need to divert due to the main level crossing in Sleaford remaining closed.

Following communication with Lincolnshire County Council, we understand that the crossing is expected to reopen later this evening / early tomorrow morning. On that basis, we are expecting the SLE8 to operate its usual route tomorrow with no diversion required.

Should anything change, weโ€™ll keep passengers updated as soon as possible. Sorry, this may be very last minute if the crossing does not open which is totally out of our hands.

Please remember to ensure your child always shows a valid pass to travel or has the correct fare to travel.

We look forward to welcoming you all onboard for the new school term! ๐ŸšŒ๐ŸŽ’

๐ŸŽ’๐ŸšŒ ONE MORE SLEEPโ€ฆ BACK TO SCHOOL TOMORROW (FOR SOME!) ๐ŸšŒ๐ŸŽ’

With the new school year beginning tomorrow, hereโ€™s a quick final reminder for pupils and parents using our school services to make sure everyone is ready for their first journey back.

๐ŸŽซ Fares & QR passes
If your child pays a fare onboard, please make sure they have the correct fare ready for their journey.

If travelling using one of our QR passes, please make sure the pass is loaded and ready, and that your child is already logged into their account before boarding so it can be scanned.
The QR code will be visible from 2 Sept at 00:01.

๐Ÿชช LCC pass holders
All Lincolnshire County Council pass holders must carry their pass at all times and present it to the driver on every journey. Please give it a quick check tonight and make sure itโ€™s packed and ready for the morning.

๐Ÿšญ Va**ng onboard
Ahead of the new school year, weโ€™d also like to make it clear that va**ng is not permitted onboard any Sleafordian vehicle at any time.

We saw an increase in va**ng incidents towards the end of last term, so weโ€™re asking parents to please reinforce this message with their children before services resume.

CCTV is in operation onboard our vehicles, and any incidents identified will be taken seriously and dealt with appropriately.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and pleasant environment for every pupil travelling with us.

A little preparation tonight will help everyone start the new school year on the right foot.

Thank you, as always, for your cooperation and support.

Hereโ€™s to a brilliant new school year! ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ“š๐ŸšŒ
