Today, I really just want to say THANK YOU. ❤️

It’s National Travel Agent Day, and while today is about celebrating us travel agents, I’d rather use it to celebrate all the people who help me do what I do.

My travel business has grown year on year — something I’m incredibly proud of — but I certainly haven’t done it alone.

So, this one’s for…

🍁 Is it normal to be THIS excited about somebody else’s holiday? 🇨🇦

Two of my customers are heading off on an incredible Canadian adventure NEXT WEEK and, having travelled through the Canadian Rockies myself, I know exactly what they’ve got coming…

And it’s going to be breathtaking. ❤️

🏔️ One part of their journey takes them through Lake Louise, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Falls, before arriving into Jasper.

And that’s just ONE part of their adventure! 🇨🇦

This is exactly the kind of holiday I LOVE planning.

It’s not just flights and hotels. It’s making sure the route, experiences and all those little details come together — and being able to bring my own first-hand experience into the planning makes it even more special.

They get to be excited. I do the homework. 📝❤️

I’m going to use the C word… CHRISTMAS! 🎄😂

I know, I know… it’s still August, but Christmas market breaks are already very much on the radar and some of Europe’s favourites have their 2026 dates confirmed.

🔥 TEAM HEAT or ❄️ TEAM COOLCATION?

Which one are you?

Is anyone else finding some of our traditional summer holiday favourites are getting just a little TOO hot? 🥵

I’m seeing — and booking — more COOLCATIONS, and after going to Norway last August, I get the appeal!

🇳🇴 We had long summer days, incredible fjords, waterfalls and mountains, plus fantastic cities like Bergen and Oslo.

And it was a completely different kind of summer holiday — including, apparently, dressing up as a Viking! 😂⚔️

Norway isn’t the only option either…

🇮🇸 Iceland — waterfalls, hot springs & incredible road trips
🇩🇰 Denmark — Copenhagen, canals, Tivoli & great food
🇸🇪 Sweden — Stockholm, lakes, islands & the archipelago

A COOLCATION doesn’t mean being cold! It’s about comfortable temperatures, long summer days and actually getting out and experiencing somewhere different.

✈️ Not all travel agents are created equal…

And when you’re trusting someone with thousands of pounds of your money, it’s worth knowing exactly who you’re booking with.

These days, it’s incredibly easy to create a professional-looking website or social media page and appear to be a travel expert. So my advice is always to do a little homework first.

⭐ Check the reviews.
Have a look at Trustpilot and see what customers are actually saying — particularly about what happens when something goes wrong.

🔎 Check who you’re booking with.
Are they part of an established business? What financial protection do you have? And if something does go wrong, is there actually someone there to help you?

💷 And if a price looks unbelievably cheap, ask yourself why.
I love a bargain as much as anyone, but if one company is hundreds of pounds cheaper for what looks like exactly the same holiday, I’d want to know what the catch is.

Sometimes it really is a fantastic deal. But sometimes there’s a reason it’s cheap!

For me, being a travel agent isn’t just about booking a holiday. It’s about looking after people before they travel, while they’re away and until they’re safely home again.

Your holiday is important — and often something you’ve saved a long time for.

Don’t just check the price. Check who you’re trusting with it. ✈️🌍
