Welcome to my Page based on the amazingly small but fast Speedboat.

We will keep you posted on our recently Purchased ‘Quantum Micra’ Which is one of the last
Boats we believe in 2017. But have seen that is possibly available through an online site ?

Information on these boats is very hard to come by, but from a little research this is its story.

1st Alittle history :
These boats were orgionally designed for use on the lakes of Disney World with an ogionally estimated 10 Million Rides planned
Starting In the mid 1990’s and finished in 2014.
The design changed in their later years from a squared off Bow to a pointed bow and the removal of the propeller guard (to allow
Them to plan easier)

The original design was built from fibreglass layup over plywood. Later designs (upto 2007) with plastic and fiberglass modular design
So key components of the structure could be easliy replaced.

Recommended outboard was a 15Hp, the ones at Disney were 9.9 hp, but these have been know to have upto 50 BHP motors giving them
A top speed of 60mph !

They are quite hard to come by now, especially in the U.K.
They normally arrive on a small trailer and can very easly be launched and recovered.

Controls are very simple with either a pull start motor, or a electric start with throttle forwards and backwards.

In the Bow is a locker which normally hoses the fuel tank (and Battery if one is fitted)

There is also storage behind the seats

These were a 2 seater sportsboat with a 23mph top speed based on a 10Hp Engine
