At Red Funnel, we know it’s our people that help us stand out from the rest, and we know we're all at our best when we feel able to be ourselves.🚒

Pride Month in June is a reminder of how important that is, especially for our LGBTQ+ colleagues, customers and partners.πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

We’re incredibly proud to be an inclusive employer that values people for the skills, work ethic and personality they bring to the team.

Each of us at Red Funnel makes it a place where customers and colleagues alike feel comfortable, respected and valued for who they are, every day.

πŸ’¬ Fran Collins, Red Funnel CEO, said: β€œIt’s incredibly important for people to be comfortable being themselves at work, and it’s something we all have a role in creating and protecting.

"Embracing diversity in all its forms helps us make better decisions to support our customers and colleagues.

"We’re committed to making sure everyone is treated fairly, and valued for the skills, perspective and experience they bring."

Discover Cowes on the Isle of Wight 🏝️

A waterfront town with spectacular sea views, Cowes has long been known as the home of sailing. The principal event in the UK’s sailing calendar is Cowes Week, established in 1826, a weeklong event that sees thousands of yachts compete on the Solent each year.⛡️

For those who prefer to keep both feet firmly on dry land, Cowes offers a buzzy atmosphere and spectacular foodie scene. Walking down the charming pedestrianised high street strung with bunting and lights, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to places to dine out, day and night.

Today, on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice and service of the allied forces who took part in one of the most significant operations of the Second World War.

On 6 June 1944, thousands of allied troops crossed the English Channel as part of Operation Overlord, beginning the liberation of Nazi-occupied Europe. The Solent and Isle of Wight played an important role in preparations for the landings, serving as a key staging area for the vast fleet assembled along the south coast.🌊

Several vessels from Red Funnel's former fleet also contributed to the war effort and the D-Day landings, including:

βš“οΈ TSS Calshot (I)
βš“οΈ PS Lorna Doone (II)
βš“οΈ PS Solent Queen (II)
βš“οΈ MV Norris Castle (II)
