🏭 Tackling Heavy Sludge Across Four Industrial Tanks

A recent two-day industrial clean involved a combination of heavily compacted sludge and significant volumes of liquid waste across four industrial storage tanks.

The operation began with our team manually breaking down and clearing the compacted sludge, creating the access required for mechanical recovery.

Once the material was accessible, our Jet Vacuum Tanker was deployed to jet, vacuum and recover the remaining sludge and liquid waste.

In total, tens of thousands of litres was removed from the four tanks, with the recovered waste transported for appropriate treatment and processing.

This demonstrates our capabilities for:

🌃 Out of Hours. Night Works

Over three nights, our team undertook an out-of-hours oily water recovery supporting critical transport infrastructure.

Working exclusively at night, we recovered tens of thousands of litres of oily water from interceptors, with each load transported to our nearest processing site for treatment and recovery.

This is a planned operation carried out quarterly, demonstrating the importance of our:

Multimodal 2026 🚢 🚆 🚛
A superb show to particularly demonstrate the breadth of our capabilities across marine, rail and road haulage - spanning oil and liquid waste collection, solid waste collection (such as oily rags and filters), through to fully integrated environmental services.

From interceptor emptying, fuel supply, emergency spill response, to tank and track cleans across the UK-mainland. We provide the collection and management across all of the MARPOL Annexes, supporting the safe and compliant handling of all marine waste streams, alongside wider marine waste solutions. We're able to expertly support both planned and reactive requirements.

It really highlighted the value of face-to-face engagement: with existing clients, continuing conversations from last year and connecting with new businesses.

Sustainability came up a lot throughout the event and is one of the key reasons our clients choose us. We were there for the first day of the Hillhead Show catching up with existing clients and meeting new contacts from across the quarrying, construction and recycling industries.

☀️ The event's unique quarry location looked even more impressive in the sunshine, providing a fantastic setting for a busy day of networking and industry discussions.

This weeks Industrial Waste 🏭 Spotlight:

A collection of 15,000 litres of oil and water for one of our manufacturing clients, using one of our Jet Vacuum Tankers.

Our experienced driver using one of our 50 metre flexi-hoses to safely and quickly collect the oily water directly from the underground interceptor. It is then taken to one of our nearest processing sites for treatment.

This forms part of a weekly scheduled service for this longstanding client, where we empty the on-site interceptors and collect water from the cooling towers. In addition we undertake their site cleans - all without disrupting day-to-day operations.
