On a very warm evening, it was great to give a warm welcome to those applicants selected to attend our Getting to Know Us apprentice event!

These sessions were opened by our Chief Executive, Tom Willis, and gave applicants the chance to learn more about the Port: who we are, how we work, and the values that guide our team. It was also an opportunity for them to meet our educational partners and hear directly from our recruiting managers. The evening was also supported by some of our apprentices and apprentice graduates who have already been through this process.

Alison Burstow, Head of People, said "With over 200 applications this year, our recruiting managers had a really tough job selecting those to join us for the evening. The Shoreham Port team really enjoyed meeting all the applicants, and their participation created a real buzz . I am excited for our Getting to Know You event in early July 2026. "

We’ll be emailing candidates next week with further details about the next stage of the process, and we look forward to seeing you there.
